4-21-12, April Gaffers
Today we had Jhun Aure, Mark Keruclrich and crew. Beautiful weather and we had high hopes for good tuna fishing as it was great yellowfin action for the guys who fished Friday. The tunas made a no show and we reverted to plan B. Luckily the gulf stream change was holding some grass as well as nice gaffer dolphin. A little early for gaffers but we were happy to find them. Thanks guys and se you next time.
4-14-12, Slower Today
My apologies as the pic from Saturday on my phone got lost. Fishing was slower overall with a ton of boats on a beautiful weekend day. I zigged when I should have zagged for most of the day but we did manage 5 yellowfins for Zac Giampa and the boys from New York. Below are a couple more pics of the boat. Hard to get full shots now that she is back in the water but you can see her fresh paint job and black windshield good on the trailer and our new console on the bridge with electronics layout. Fishing this Saturday and 3 days next week but have lots of days open next few weeks so give us a call. Thanks!
Boat work done, First day back fishing
We completed our major projects in a mad dash on Thursday and made our first trip of the Spring today. We had our boat owners Dell Dembosky and Craig Johnson today. Good tuna fishing as we ended we up with 12 yellowfins. Also added pick of boat with fresh paint and some of rigging done. Will post some more pics soon. Thanks!
Finishing boat work, Good Spring Fishing
Looking forward to Spring
Busy in boat shop with all our projects but looking ahead to spring fishing. Below is pic from last April of a catch of bigeyes and yellowfin tuna. Below that is pic of our new hardtop ready for paint.
Back from Mexico, Boat Projects Started
I made it home from my trip to Mexico where I ran some trips on the Full Pull for a couple weeks. Fishing was good with short runs as we averaged 40-50 bites per day and a 10 mile run. Thanks to Ryan, Bill, and Big John for the hospitality.
We are full swing into our major upgrades to the boat. Below are pics of boat stripped down with hardtop, riggers, etc of topside and bottom soda blasted. Also pic of new console for bridge before being glassed and our new hardtop upside down. We went into shed today and will be hard at work next couple months to get ready to start back fishing April 1st.
Few open days left for Mexico
We are leaving the BI-OP-SEA here for the winter for some major top side work including new hardtop, riggers, curtains, bridge console, bridge, house, and hull paint. I will be in Mexico running some trips on the Full Pull which is a Charleston based Charter boat built by Bobby Crosswait. I have Just 3 days left open--the 16th, 17th, 18th of January. Give us a call or e-mail if interested and we will be open for charter spring fishing starting first of April. Thanks.
11-12-11, Finally Back Out
A terrible stretch of weather with hard north wind has kept us at the dock for a couple weeks. We made it back out Saturday with Todd Ireland and crew from southern Maryland. We had great action with yellowfins and caught a bonus November sailfish although we forgot the flag in the pic. The boats that fished Sunday and today had great fishing as well so give us a call or e-mail to cash in on this good fishing.
10-22-11, Great Tuna Fishing
Rick Anderson and gang had great action today and filled the ox with blackfins, yellowfins and a nice wahoo. Lots of days open so give us a call. Thanks.
Tom Bass, Frank Geisler and crew had great wahoo action today catching 9 all together. Some Yellowfins, blackfins, and dolphin to round out the catch.
